Los Padres Chapter of the Sierra Club
The very popular Sierra Club hikes are held weekly and are open to everyone. All trails are day hikes which will allow them to be hiked by anyone in moderately good health.

Channel Islands National Park
Comprised of five of the eight California Channel Islands, Channel Islands National Park is home to a variety of nationally and internationally significant natural and cultural resources. On the islands, you can explore isolated beaches, hike rugged canyons, or have a leisurely picnic. Park naturalists conduct interpretive hikes on the islands throughout the year.

At Cuchuma Lake you can spot an eagle, catch a fish, or watch an eagle catch a fish. This lake is admired by naturalist, hikers, and all sorts of outdoors types. There are numerous camping facilities available for extended visits.

Los Padres National Forest encompasses nearly two million acres in the beautiful coastal mountains of central California. Stretching almost 220 miles from the Carmel Valley area to the western edge of Los Angeles County, it provides the scenic backdrop for many communities including Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ojai.
